If you demolish a building, the citizens using it will move to another city. Rebuild it, and other people may move into it. But once you squash a group of citizens, you cannot rebuild them with bionics... they are gone for good. 2) Always keep 4+ groups of citizens alive to speed city growth: If you have 3 or less groups of people on your lot, and only a few buildings, your city may take a long time to grow, if ever. Citizens may not want to move to a city that meets with too much disaster on it's first day, or is not populated enough to be run efficiently. Keep at least 4 groups of citizens on your lot at all times to ensure "potential" growth. So try resisting that urge to smush people the very first day. ;) 3) "I didn't resist and now I smushed too many people... what can I do!?" If you have three or less citizen groups, and four or more structures, "rampage" all your buildings. Then rebuild them. It will cost you $10 to rebuild each building. But each time a building is rebuilt, a group of citizens will likely move in. And with 4+ buildings rebuilt, you will likely get 4+ fresh healthy citizen groups, the bare minimum for any city to expand with. :) 4) My city is growing too slowly: It takes a little time and effort to build a mega metropolis, so just keep your buildings and people in good shape, your Power Plant "ON" and it will happen soon enough. The more buildings and people you have, the faster the growth rate will be. 5) My city is big, and I am lazy. I need help maintaining it: Hire a Gardener -- they help with all lawn care needs, including mini-cities. :) 6) There are no boats leaving my Marina: Make sure you have an unused water tile on one or more sides of the Marina. Another reason: if you squashed ALL your citizens... there is no one left alive in the city to use the Marina, so no boats will launch. ;) The Marina and other Slice City add-ons are downloadable separately. 7) I can't click on my citizens when they are on the Slice City Road: Version 1.2 users get the new Slice City Road "object". There are fun benefits to using Road as you'll soon see hehheh... but the cost of it is that when citizens cross on top of the road, they can't be clicked on until they walk off of it. If this bothers you, place a few of our regular grey floor tiles here and there with the buildings (to make the city blocks a bit larger), and place the road tiles around them -- this also gives extra space for people to mill about between the road and the buildings... "the ol' stomping grounds" as it were. ;) 8) Where is the traffic? If you placed the new Road objects in your city, you will notice the citizens will stop walking around at 9am and again at 5pm -- they use that time to hop in their cars to commute to and from work. Traffic moves fluidly from tile to tile... it's pretty neat to see. :) 9) I can't find any version 1.2 updates in my game: For best gameplay, before installing any version 1.2 files you first need to remove the prior version 1.1 files from your game: DELETE THIS FILE: Simslice-SliceCity1-1--1of3.far DELETE THIS FILE: Simslice-SliceCity1-1--2of3.far DELETE THIS FILE: Simslice-SliceCity1-1--3of3.iff Then install the new version 1.2 files: INSTALL THIS FILE: Simslice-SliceCity1-2--1of3.far INSTALL THIS FILE: Simslice-SliceCity1-2--2of3.far INSTALL THIS FILE: Simslice-SliceCity1-2--3of3.iff *************************************************** If you have any more you want to see added here, please contact us.
